Class Gift News
Dear Classmates,
We are getting close to the end of our Reunion Year (May 2021) so we are writing to give you our latest update on our 65th Reunion Gift. We are pleased to tell you that our class participation in giving has increased to over 40%. Our Bryn Mawr Fund total is now over $100,000. We have also received four restricted gifts: two for our Class of 1956 Scholarship, and two for special priorities of the donors. The College also received two generous bequests. We are very grateful to all who have already donated this special year. But we know we can do better because many of you who have not yet given usually give for Reunion and donate in May. Gifts received on or before May 31 count toward our 65th Reunion Gift. Our hope is to receive gifts from well over 50% of our class. Gifts of any size grow that percentage.
You have many good choices. The Bryn Mawr Fund is the College’s favorite because it funds current expenses, and those have increased so much because of the Covid virus.
We would like to receive more gifts for our Scholarship – our special gift to the College. Those who have read the latest Bulletin are aware of the need also for the revitalized Black Alumnae/i Fund. This fund supports the personal and professional growth of those students who share a cultural background or personally identify with the African Diaspora. Gifts to these funds will count in our 65th Grand Reunion total, and toward our class participation percentage.
Together we play an integral part in Bryn Mawr’s tradition of excellence and in the bright futures of today’s students. We are proud and grateful to have attended Bryn Mawr and to support Bryn Mawr’s mission. Please join us to keep Bryn Mawr strong for generations to come.
Very best,
Your Reunion Gift Committee,
Barbara Bruer, Roslyn Harrison, Mary Hewes, and Norma Rockel
